Create your own pattern/design paper - Creative Stamping 81

Today, I decided to have a look at my stash and found Creative Stamping magazine issue 81 with the free gift 'Spring Flowers' designed by Pinkfresh Studio. When I saw these gorgeous flowers, I wanted to create my own design/pattern paper and I thought that it would be a good idea to share some techniques with you. 

In my YouTube tutorial (on Crafting with Quillling Lady channel) I show you step by step three techniques using these stamps. To create bases for my cards I used Shaped word cutting die 'Happy' from Crafter's Companion and the sentiment dies from Tonic Studios.

Personalised cards it's what I like the most, I created these cards for Harry Potter fans using Crackerbox and Suzy stamps and an alphabet cutting die set from my stash.

To colour in all the images, I used black water-proof ink and Aqua Markers by Spectrum Noir.

Bridge cards with Edge'ables

On Saturday, a friend of mine, had a live cardmaking workshop with Bridge Cards. She inspired me to take my Edge'able cutting dies and craft some cards along.

For my cards I used: 'Garden of Love' paper pad by Crafter's Companion

Edge'ables by Crafter's Companion: 'Traditional Lace', 'Heartfelt Wishes', 'Ornate Henna'

and my favourite Rose stamp from Crafter's Companion 'Classic Rose'.

Stained Glass Window Effect using stamps

I decided to start a series called 'Rediscover my stash' and looking through my craft stash I came across this beautiful stamp set from one of the magazines which was released in 2016.

Today, I have 3 cards for you using one stamp set to create a stained glass window effect.

I used a different technique for each card which you can see in my YouTube tutorial.

Torn edge rectange frames

Today, I decided to make some birthday and nameday cards for my family. 

I used 2 embossing folders: Brocade and 3D Seamless Wave by Crafter's Companion. I created the flowers using an ombre paper pad that I received from an amazing cardmaker Paperfect Dublin, here is a link to her Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Paperfect-Dublin-361592854713185/ and Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/paperfectdublin/, she is a very talented cardmaker and I am so happy to see her beautiful creations.

I also used Distress Oxides to add colour to the background and I created the frame using 'Torn Edge Rectangle' nesting dies by Crafter's Companion.

I could not decide on the colour scheme so I made three cards :D

One ink blending A4 = 3 cards

Today, I created a challenge for myself, I decided to do ink blending on one A4 card using 3 distress oxides (my favourite colours), and create 3 totally different cards using this one A4 'pattern paper'. 

Card  number one:

I used Simon Says Stamp - 'Hexagon floral' background stamp and heat embossed with fine black embossing powder, then I used a wet paintbrush to lift the colours from the flowers. I heat embossed and die cut a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp 'Hexagon greetings' and adhered with a foam pad. I matted and layered the panel and added some gold gems.

Card number two:

I die cut the front panel using Concord and 9th 'Hexagon designer dies' in white, black and the inked card. I stamped the parrots using Clearly Besotted 'Some birdie loves you' stamps with water-proof Spectrum Noir ink and fussy cut them. I used a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp 'Big thanks words - Best days' and a few gold gems.

Card number three:

I used a stencil from one of the crafting magazine kits and used black pigment ink to add contrast.I heat embossed the flower from Crafter's Inspiration magazine on vellum and used the same Distress Oxides to colour it in. The parrot comes from Clearly Besotted 'Some birdie loves you' stamp set and the sentiment from Simon Says Stamp 'Big thanks words - Best days'.

Coloured heart with embossed white backgrounds

I need to confess. I really struggle with monochromatic cards and the technique I call 'less is more', therefore, I challenged myself to create these cards using only embossing folders, one die set and one stamp. I heat embossed the heart and coloured them using Spectrum Noir Aqua markers. Here are the embossing I used from Crafter's Companion: Brocade, Venetian Lace and Seamless Wave.

What do you think? I'm still not convinced ...

I used Concord and 9th 'Wonderful florals' stamp set and my scraps of paper to create rainbows.

It was a lot of fun :) I really recommend this technique :)

Cocktail Time cards

Hello all amazing people :) I hope you have a wonderful day.

Today, I decided to have a look at my craft stash and found this Cocktail Time stamp from Crafte'rs Companion and just had to use it for some cards. I coloured the images with Aqua Markers from Spectrum Noir and added glossy accents on top. Then, I used gold embossing powder to create the backgrounds.

I'm really happy to share with you another card from my new collection with Polish folklore flowers. This time I used pinks and blues with the wreath building technique. The stamps are from Altenew and they are called 'Wycinanki'. The sentiments are from my stash.

As you know I'm a huge fan of Polish folklore and created several cards with the stamp set from Altenew called 'Wycinanki'. The stamps are super easy to line up and I strongly recommend a wreath building technique for this card.

I also used 'birthday' stamp from my stash and white heat embossed it on a black card.
