Make a Special Card for Women’s Day 🌸 Watercolour Butterflies Tutorial

In today’s video I’m sharing a special handmade card for Women’s Day (8th March) created as part of a lovely craft collaboration celebrating the amazing women in our lives 💐

For this project I used the Chloe’s Craft Magazine Box Kit and created a delicate design with stamped butterflies and flowers coloured with watercolour paints. The soft colours and elegant details make this card perfect for celebrating a mother, sister, friend, colleague or any special woman in your life.

Baby Boy Shadow Box with Foamiran flowers

This project was a lot of fun, I love creating personalised projects and making one for a new born baby was absolutely amazing and I also met the little one, he is so cute!

Blue and purple whimsical birds

Today, I have a third whimsical painting in my new collection. 

This mixed media painting was a lot of fun to create and I absolutely enjoyed playing with the watercolours. I painted the canvas black and used gold acrylic paint to create the frame, I used watercolour paint for the birds, butterflies and flowers, I fussy cut them and used liquid glue to adhere them on the canvas.

Whimsical purple butterflies

Today I have my second mixed media painting of 2021. 

I used a stencil and texture paste in the corners of the canvass, then painted the background using metallic acrylic paint. All the butterflies and flowers were painted using watercolour paint, fussy cut and adhered on the canvas, I also added some light green thread :)

Today, I have three cards with tiny tulips (layering cutting dies). The embossing folder and the dies were a free gift with Simply Cards and Papercraft issue 213. My challenge was to use primary colours for my cards.

Polish Folk Art - sunshine colours

Today, I have another three cards from my new collection 'Polish Folk Art cards'. I tried to use yellow and orange as I need a little bit of sunshine, there are too many clouds at the moment on the sky ;)

I used cutting dies from Altenew called 'Wycinanki', it is my totally favourite cutting die set and I have used it so many times for a variety of projects.

Nameday and birthday cards with 3D embossing

Today,  I have a set of three cards using 3D embossing folders from Crafter's Companion: English Rose, Seamless Wave and Venetian Lace. I used ink blending technique to add colours to the panels and use nesting dies from Crafter's Companion for the focal element on the cards.

I love making these colourful flowers, they were super easy and quick to make.

Today, I decided to create 3 cards using Crafter's Inspiration Issue 27 kit and I recorded the You Tube tutorial using the distress floral corner die, the gradient dotty stencil and a sentiment stamp set.

I hope you have a great day! It's proper summer in the UK, therefore it's great time to make some cards with flowers.

I had a look at my stash and found this die set that I haven't used in a very long time, it was a free gift with one of the cardmaking magazines few years ago. This die set from Altenew is brilliant for any occasion card and I made 3 cards for a variety of events.

Torn edge rectange frames

Today, I decided to make some birthday and nameday cards for my family. 

I used 2 embossing folders: Brocade and 3D Seamless Wave by Crafter's Companion. I created the flowers using an ombre paper pad that I received from an amazing cardmaker Paperfect Dublin, here is a link to her Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Paperfect-Dublin-361592854713185/ and Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/paperfectdublin/, she is a very talented cardmaker and I am so happy to see her beautiful creations.

I also used Distress Oxides to add colour to the background and I created the frame using 'Torn Edge Rectangle' nesting dies by Crafter's Companion.

I could not decide on the colour scheme so I made three cards :D
