🦁 Personalised Baby Boy Rocker Card | Mintay Papers Baby Safari | Week 8: Circle Challenge

Happy Thursday!

I hope you have a fabulous day!

Today I'm sharing my project for Week 8 – Circle as part of the #MintayCardChallenge and #MintayOneCardAWeek.

For this week's prompt, I created a personalised rocker card to celebrate the arrival of a beautiful baby boy. I used the adorable Baby Safari collection from Mintay Papers, featuring charming safari animals that are perfect for welcoming a little one.

The card was created using circle and scalloped circle nesting dies, resulting in a fun rocker design that stands beautifully on display. To make the card even more special, I personalised it with the baby's name and date of birth, creating a keepsake that his family can treasure for years to come.

One of the things I love most about rocker cards is how easy they are to customise. You can change the colours, papers, embellishments or sentiments to create a unique card for any occasion.

I hope this tutorial inspires you to create your own personalised baby cards and explore the wonderful Baby Safari collection from Mintay Papers.

πŸ’™ Beautiful Pregnancy Silhouette Card | No Cutting Dies! | Mintay Papers Week 7 Tutorial

Happy Tuesday!

I hope you have an amazing day!

Today I'm sharing my project for Week 7 – Flat as part of the #MintayCardChallenge and #MintayOneCardAWeek.

For this week's theme, I created a 5 x 7 inch handmade card featuring the silhouette of an expectant mum lovingly holding her baby bump. One of my favourite things about this project is that I created the shape without using any cutting dies—just a pencil, scissors and a little imagination!

I decorated the dress and the inside of the card using the beautiful Cottage House collection from Mintay Papers, creating a soft and elegant design. To complete the card, I added a sweet teddy bear cut with the Baby Accessories Die Set from Simply Made Crafts.

This card was created for my cousin and his partner, who are about to become parents for the very first time. Personalising handmade cards for life's special moments is one of my favourite parts of cardmaking, and I wanted this design to celebrate the excitement of welcoming their baby boy.

I hope this tutorial inspires you to create shaped cards using simple tools and to add your own personal touches for the people you love.

Butterfly Birthday card

Happy Saturday!

I hope you have an amazing day!

Welcome to the very first video of #ButterflyCraftFest 2026! πŸ¦‹

I'm so excited to launch this month-long collaboration celebrating the beauty of butterflies through handmade paper crafts. Throughout August, a wonderful group of talented crafters will be sharing butterfly-inspired projects based on the prompts in the ButterflyCraftFest Calendar.

Today's project is a very special 40th birthday card created for my best friend. I wanted to reflect her elegant personality, so I designed a clean white embossed background and used my own butterfly illustrations to create the number 40. This personalised card is a perfect example of how butterflies can become much more than decorative elements—they can help tell a story.

🌺 Interactive Pop Out Card | Mintay Papers Tropical Summer | Week 5 Challenge Tutorial

Happy Friday!

I hope you have a fabulous day!

Today I'm sharing my project for Week 5 – Interactive as part of the #MintayCardChallenge and #MintayOneCardAWeek.

For this week's theme, I created a Multiple Dimension Pop Out Card using the beautiful Tropical Summer collection from Mintay Papers. Hidden inside the card is an interactive mechanism that brings the design to life as the card opens, adding wonderful movement and dimension.

I chose a soft colour palette of pale yellow, pink and teal to perfectly complement the gorgeous Tropical Summer papers. To make the card even more meaningful, I personalised it with my cousin's name, as this card was created especially for her nameday.

The measurements are simple and easy to follow, making this interactive design suitable for anyone who would like to recreate it using their favourite paper collection.

This project was inspired by a beautiful card created by Marta DΔ™bicka, whose creativity encouraged me to try this wonderful interactive mechanism and adapt it to my own style.

I hope this tutorial inspires you to create your own interactive cards full of movement, colour and dimension.

🀎 One Colour, Endless Creativity! | Side Panel Slider Fancy Fold | Mintay Papers Week 4

Happy Wednesday!

I hope you have a fabulous day!

Today I'm sharing my project for Week 4 – One Colour Only as part of the #MintayCardChallenge and #MintayOneCardAWeek.

For this week's challenge, I created an interactive Side Panel Slider Fancy Fold Card measuring 4½ x 6 inches using kraft cardstock together with two beautiful Mintay Papers collections: Basic Book 10 and Autumn Book.

The interactive slider mechanism reveals hidden dimension, while inside the card there is a special space for a hidden personal message, making the design perfect for birthdays and other special occasions.

One of my favourite things about this fold is how easy it is to adapt. Simply change the papers, colours or sentiment to create your own unique version.

I hope this tutorial inspires you to try interactive fancy fold cards and discover how effective a monochromatic design can be.

🌊 No Flowers? No Problem! | Diagonal Flap Fancy Fold Card | Mintay Papers Week 3 Tutorial

Happy Monday!

I hope you have an amazing day.

Today I'm sharing my project for Week 3 – No Flowers as part of the #MintayCardChallenge and #MintayOneCardAWeek.

For this week's challenge, I created a Diagonal Flap Fancy Fold Card using the beautiful Riviera Moments collection from Mintay Papers. Instead of floral embellishments, I designed peaceful seaside scenes inspired by the coast, creating a fresh and elegant project that proves flowers aren't the only way to make a beautiful handmade card.

To finish the design, I added a delicate lacy lighthouse chipboard to the front of the card, giving it extra texture and a wonderful nautical feel.

One of my favourite things about this fold is how versatile it is. The measurements are easy to adapt, making it simple to recreate using your favourite papers and embellishments for any occasion.

I hope this tutorial inspires you to try a fancy fold card and explore different themes beyond florals.

πŸͺ΅ 3 Easy Ways to Add Texture to Handmade Cards | Mintay Papers Week 2 | Masculine Card Tutorial

Happy Saturday!

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Today I'm sharing my project for Week 2 – Texture as part of the #MintayCardChallenge and #MintayOneCardAWeek.

For this week's theme, I created a masculine birthday card using the fantastic Birthday Man collection from Mintay Papers, together with a kraft cardstock base for a warm and classic look.

In this tutorial, I'll show you three simple ways to add texture to your handmade cards:

✨ Scoring board – creating elegant scored lines around the panels.

✨ Stencil and coloured texture paste – adding raised dimension and visual interest.

✨ Embossing folder with ink blending – enhancing embossed details to create even more depth.

By combining these techniques, you can transform a simple card into a project full of texture, dimension and character. Each technique is easy to recreate and can be adapted to suit any paper collection or occasion.

I hope this tutorial inspires you to experiment with different textures and add extra interest to your own handmade cards.
