Arch Mechanism Pop Up Card | Beautiful Butterfly Card Tutorial | #ButterflyCraftFest

Happy Saturday!

I hope you have an amazing day!

Hello my crafty friends! πŸ’œ

Welcome to the final project of #ButterflyCraftFest! πŸ¦‹πŸŽ‰

For my last project in this beautiful butterfly collaboration, I created a 6×6 inch Pop Up Card featuring an arch mechanism that creates a beautiful dimensional display when the card is opened.

I decorated the pop-up mechanism with my very own Mini Butterflies, which you can collect during #ButterflyCraftFest, and used the gorgeous Lavender Mood collection from Craft O'Clock to create the soft purple and romantic feel of the card.

I love how the butterflies appear to float across the arch when the card is opened, creating a lovely 3D effect while the card still folds flat for easy storage.

This project is a wonderful example of how a simple mechanism can completely transform a handmade card and give it that special WOW! moment when the recipient opens it. ✨

Throughout #ButterflyCraftFest, we've been celebrating butterflies and sharing different butterfly-inspired projects, and I'm so happy to finish the challenge with a pop-up card!

50 & STILL EXPLORING! 🌊 | Eclipse Technique 50th Birthday Card | Mintay Papers

Happy Thursday!

Hello my crafty friends!

Today I'm sharing a very special 50th birthday card I created for a lady who absolutely loves travelling and the sea. 🌊✈️

For this project, I used the beautiful 'Riviera Moments' collection from @mintaypapers to create an 8×8 inch handmade birthday card filled with seaside and travel details. But the main feature of this card is the number 50! πŸŽ‚

I used the Eclipse Technique to create the large numbers and make the beautiful seaside background continue through the 50. Instead of simply placing the numbers on top of the paper, I wanted them to become part of the scene. I added layers of blue, gold and white around the numbers to make them stand out while still allowing the ocean scene to flow through them.

To personalise the card even further, I added the recipient's name and embellished the design with beautiful elements from the 'Riviera Moments' collection, including a seahorse, anchor, seagull, shells, camera and lighthouse.

I love how the whole card reflects her love of the sea, travel and adventure. πŸ’™πŸŒŠ And because every card has a reason to exist, this one was designed specifically with the birthday girl in mind. πŸ’•

If you enjoy Mintay Papers, handmade birthday cards, personalised cards, eclipse technique, fancy cardmaking techniques, fussy cutting and paper crafting, I hope this project gives you some inspiration. ✨

Have you ever tried the Eclipse Technique on a handmade card?

πŸ’œ Overflow of Elegance! | Circular Shaped Card | Mintay Papers Lavender Dream | Week 16 Tutorial

Happy Wednesday!

Today I'm sharing my project for Week 16 – Overflow as part of the #MintayCardChallenge and #MintayOneCardAWeek.

For this week's theme, I created an elegant circular shaped card that stands beautifully on display. I used the gorgeous Lavender Dream collection from Mintay Papers, combining soft purple tones with luxurious gold accents for a timeless and sophisticated design.

To create the overflowing floral effect, I carefully fussy cut the beautiful elements from the collection and layered them to add depth and dimension. I also personalised the card with the recipient's name using gold letters to coordinate perfectly with the gold border.

This card was created for someone very special who told me that Lavender Dream is her favourite Mintay Papers collection. Personalising a handmade card is one of my favourite ways to make each project truly unique and meaningful.

I hope this tutorial inspires you to create your own shaped cards and discover how layering and fussy cutting can bring beautiful paper collections to life.

Can You See the Illusion? | Easy Eclipse Technique with Nesting Dies | Mintay Papers Week 15

Happy Monday!

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Welcome back to another project for the Mintay Papers Challenge!

Today I'm sharing my project for Week 15 – Illusion, and I've created a super simple card with a clever little optical illusion. ✨

For this project, I created an oval-shaped card using nesting dies from my stash and the beautiful 'Holly Jolly' collection from Mintay Papers.

For the illusion effect, I used the Eclipse Technique. By cutting the layers and then raising the central elements with double-sided foam adhesive, the design appears to move through different levels while the patterned image continues across the layers.

And the best part is that you don't need a special die or complicated mechanism to recreate it. You can use this technique with almost any nesting dies and your favourite patterned papers.

✨ The basic idea is simple:
✂️ Choose your nesting dies
πŸ“„ Cut your layers
🎨 Use your favourite patterned paper
✨ Cut the central element
πŸ“ Add double-sided foam adhesive
πŸ’š Assemble the layers and create the illusion!

This is a quick and easy cardmaking technique that can be adapted for birthdays, Christmas, anniversaries, thank-you cards and so many other occasions.

I hope this project inspires you to look at your nesting dies in a completely different way! 😊

Have you tried the Eclipse Technique before? What nesting dies would you use for it? πŸ‘‡

Happy crafting! πŸ’š✂️✨

10-Minute Clean & Simple Card! πŸŽ„ | One Sketch, Endless Possibilities | Mintay Papers

Happy Sunday!
I hope you have a fantastic day!
Welcome back to another project for the Mintay Papers Challenge!

Today I'm sharing my project for Week 14 – Clean & Simple, and this time I wanted to create something quick, versatile and easy to recreate.

I created a 5×7 inch Christmas card using the beautiful 'Winter Time' collection from Mintay Papers, combined with brown cardstock to create elegant frames around the different panels.

But there's something special about this project...
✨ The card is based on a simple card sketch that you can use for ANY occasion!

The layout can easily be adapted by changing the patterned papers, colours, images and sentiment. You could use exactly the same sketch to create:

πŸŽ‚ Birthday cards
🌸 Thank-you cards
πŸ’ Wedding cards
πŸ‘Ά Baby cards
πŸŽ„ Christmas cards
πŸ’œ Anniversary cards
🌷 Any other occasion you can think of!

And the best part?
⏱️ This card can be made in LESS THAN 10 MINUTES!

The simple layout makes it perfect when you need a beautiful handmade card but don't have hours to spend creating it.

I love how the clean and simple design allows the beautiful Mintay Papers to do most of the work, while the brown frames add structure and definition to each panel.

Would you use this sketch for a Christmas card, or would you adapt it for another occasion? Let me know in the comments! 😊

Happy crafting! πŸŽ„✂️

I Turned a Butterfly into an 8x8 Card! | Watercolour Butterfly Shaped Card | #ButterflyCraftFest

Happy Saturday!

Hello my crafty friends! πŸ’šπŸ¦‹

Welcome back to #ButterflyCraftFest and Project 3 – Shaped Card!

For today's project, I decided to make something BIG, colourful and completely covered in butterflies! πŸ¦‹✨

I created a large 8×8 inch butterfly-shaped card using an SVG file designed by Katarina. I used my Cricut Maker 3 to cut all the elements for the card, making it possible to create this beautiful oversized butterfly shape.

Then came my favourite part... COLOUR! πŸŽ¨πŸ¦‹

I used watercolour paints to create the colourful butterfly design. For the main card, I used beautiful granulated watercolours from Cass Art in green, blue and purple.

I love the way granulating watercolours create their own unique textures and colour variations, so every part of the butterfly has a slightly different look.

To finish the card, I added small gems in colours matching the watercolours, giving the butterfly a little extra sparkle and making the colours pop. ✨πŸ’œπŸ’™πŸ’š

This is Project 3 – Shaped Card for our #ButterflyCraftFest collaboration, and I hope this colourful butterfly inspires you to create your own shaped card!

🌸 Hand-Stitched Flowers on a Card | Tropical Summer | Mintay Papers Week 13

Happy Wednesday!

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Welcome back to another project for the Mintay Papers Challenge!
Today I'm sharing my project for Week 13 – Stitching — and this week's theme gave me the perfect excuse to add some beautiful handmade stitched flowers to a card! 🧡🌸

For this project, I created a shaped handmade card using the Tattered Lace “Harmony Foundation” cutting die set and the gorgeous 'Tropical Summer' collection from Mintay Papers. To incorporate the Stitching theme, I created five hand-stitched flowers with beautiful light pink petals.

I chose the colours to coordinate with the layers of the card and the elements from the 'Tropical Summer' collection. The combination of light pink and teal creates a fresh, summery look, while the stitched flowers add a lovely handmade texture and a little extra dimension to the design.

I love how the stitching becomes part of the decoration rather than simply being an additional technique—the flowers really help tie the whole card together.

If you enjoy Mintay Papers, shaped cards, handmade flowers, stitching techniques, paper crafting and cardmaking tutorials, I hope this project inspires you to try adding some stitching to your own handmade cards.

😊 Have you ever used hand stitching on a handmade card?
What would you stitch? 🧡🌸

A Window into Beauty | Dimensional Fancy Fold Card | Mintay Papers Week 12

Happy Monday!

I hope you have a fantastic day!

Today I'm sharing my project for Week 12 – Window as part of the Mintay Papers Challenge — #MintayCardChallenge and #MintayOneCardAWeek.

For this week's theme, I created a beautiful dimensional window card using kraft cardstock and the gorgeous 'Rust & Rose' collection from Mintay Papers.

I started by creating an arched window on the front of the card using a circle cutting die. I then decorated the card with background elements, paper stickers and die-cuts from the 'Rust & Rose' collection.

To create even more dimension, I used the “Cathedral of Colour Vol. 2” cutting die set from 'In the Studio' to create five decorative panels—one for the front of the card and four on the inside. When the card is opened, the layered panels create a beautiful dimensional scene.

I love how the combination of kraft cardstock, the arched window, layered panels and beautiful floral elements transforms a relatively simple card base into something really special.

This design can be adapted to different card sizes, colours and paper collections, so I hope it inspires you to experiment with your own window cards and dimensional designs.

Have you ever made a window card? What would you put behind your window? πŸͺŸπŸŒΈ

The Impossible Box! | Easy Gift Box from ONE Piece of Cardstock | #ButterflyCraftFest

Happy Saturday!

I hope you have a wonderful day!
Welcome back to #ButterflyCraftFest! πŸ¦‹πŸ’œ

It's time for Project 2 – BOX, and today I'm making a beautiful Impossible Box using just one piece of cardstock!

This clever little box has a built-in closing lid and is surprisingly easy to make once you know how. It's perfect for so many occasions and can be used as a beautiful gift box for jewellery, sweets, chocolates, small presents or handmade treasures. 🎁

The measurements can also be easily adjusted, so you can make your box the perfect size for your own project or occasion.

For this project, I used papers from LemonCraft – Happiness and Craft O'Clock – Lavender Mood to decorate the box. I finished it with beautiful butterflies from my own Butterfly Collection, which are also part of the #ButterflyCraftFest giveaway! πŸ¦‹✨

No Dies Needed! A Beautiful 3D Dress Card | Mintay Papers Challenge Week 11

Happy Friday!

I hope you have a great day!
Welcome back to my channel! πŸ’š

Today I'm finally sharing my project for Week 11 – Fabric as part of the Mintay Papers Challenge — #MintayCardChallenge and #MintayOneCardAWeek.

This challenge theme really made me think! I wanted to interpret Fabric in a slightly different way, so instead of using real fabric, I used a beautiful fabric-textured background paper from the “Holly Jolly” collection by Mintay Papers.

I used it to create a dimensional shaped dress card, then embellished the dress with a beautiful thread ribbon featuring pink flowers and green leaves. 🌸🌿

To add a little extra shine and dimension, I also applied Clear Overlay by Spectrum Noir to the top section of the dress. I finished the card with a touch of Distress Oxide ink around the edges to add some colour and definition.

And here's the best part:

✨ NO CUTTING DIES ARE NEEDED! ✨

The measurements can easily be adjusted to create a different size dress card, making this a fun project to customise for your own style and occasion.

I love how a simple piece of textured patterned paper can be transformed into something completely different!

I hope this project inspires you to look at your patterned papers in a new way and experiment with different textures, shapes and embellishments.

Would you have thought of using textured patterned paper to represent fabric?

Happy crafting! πŸ’š✂️πŸ‘—

Let It Shine! | Luxury 7x7 Card with Gold Stencil Butter | Mintay Papers Week 10

Happy Wednesday!

I hope you have a fabulous day!

Today I'm sharing my project for Week 10 – Shine as part of the Mintay Papers Challenge — #MintayCardChallenge and #MintayOneCardAWeek.

For this week's theme, I wanted to create a card with plenty of shine, sparkle and elegance, so I reached for the gorgeous 'Rust & Rose' collection from Mintay Papers.

I created a 7x7 inch handmade card using gold cardstock to introduce a beautiful metallic element to the design. But I didn't stop there! ✨

To add even more shine and texture, I used gold Stencil Butter Frosting from Polkadoodles together with the Mintay Papers 'Stencil – Mixed 9 – 58'.

I also used the ready-made die-cuts from the 'Rust & Rose' collection, which made it easy to create beautiful layers and embellish the card while keeping the gorgeous Mintay artwork as the star of the design.

I love how the combination of gold cardstock, metallic stencilling and beautiful floral elements creates an elegant and luxurious handmade card.

This technique can easily be adapted to different colours, papers and stencils, so I hope it gives you some inspiration for adding a little extra shine to your own cardmaking projects.

What's your favourite way to add shine to a handmade card? ✨

Happy crafting! 🌹✨

Stripes with a Twist! 🀎 Masculine Woven Card | Mintay Papers Challenge Week 9

Happy Monday!
I hope you have a wonderful day!

Today I'm sharing my project for Week 9 – Stripes as part of the Mintay Papers Challenge #MintayCardChallenge and #MintayOneCardAWeek.

For this week's theme, I created a 5x7 inch masculine handmade card using the beautiful 'Riviera Moments' and 'Birthday Man' collections from Mintay Papers.

Instead of simply using the striped papers as background panels, I decided to create a woven stripe pattern, adding texture and a unique focal point to the card. I used kraft cardstock and incorporated carefully fussy-cut elements from the 'Birthday Man' collection to complete the masculine design.

I love how this technique can completely transform patterned paper and create a handmade card with lots of dimension and visual interest.

The measurements and technique can easily be adapted to different card sizes and paper collections, so I hope this project inspires you to experiment with your own stripe designs!

If you enjoy masculine cards, Mintay Papers, fancy cardmaking techniques, fussy cutting and handmade card inspiration, don't forget to like the video, subscribe to my channel and leave me a comment. 😊

Would you try this woven stripe technique on a card?
